Flexible predictive power-split control for battery-supercapacitor systems of electric vehicles using IVHS

The utilization of traffic information received from intelligent vehicle highway systems (IVHS) to plan velocity and split output power for multi-source vehicles is currently a research hotspot. However, it an open issue distribute between different supply units simultaneously due the strongly coupling characteristic planning distribution. To address this issue, flexible predictive power-split control strategy based on IVHS proposed electric (EVs) equipped with battery-supercapacitor system (BSS). Unlike hierarchical strategies separately, monolayer model (MPC) method employed optimize them online at same time. Firstly, designed signal phase time (SPAT) then Pontryagin's minimum principle (PMP) adopted formulate optimal problem BSS. Then, BSS are embedded into MPC framework, which solved using shooting in fashion receding horizon. Simulation results verify that achieves superior performance compared terms transportation efficiency, battery capacity loss, energy consumption computation
